Oh Yeah! Iron Mountain Hot Springs Wins Wellness Award

Though a pro at playing it cool, when Mandy Gauldin received the phone call from Luxury Travel Guides explaining that Iron Mountain Hot Springs had won LTG’s award for Innovative Wellness Centre of the Year for Colorado, our marketing consultant nearly fell off her chair.

Part of the reason for losing her balance momentarily is that Luxury Travel Guides is a brand that provides travel and lifestyle news aimed at the affluent global traveler –CEOs, CFOs, directors of multi-national firms, and the like.  It publishes lush, image-driven, aspirational travel guides and a digital magazine that regularly features “the best of the best.”

Relaxing at Iron Mountain Hot SpringsThe LTG award was a surprise only because of the audience the media outlet serves.  While well-to-do and A-list travelers are certainly invited and welcome to relax in the 16 riverside soaking pools, family pool and elevated jetted spa, so are the visitors who make up the bulk of Iron Mountain Hot Springs’ guests – ordinary individuals and families many of whom hail from Denver and Colorado in general.

“From day one, the owners along with every employee at Iron Mountain Hot Springs have been dedicated to delivering the best possible experience to guests,” said Heather Austin, in-house marketing and sales manager. “That kind of devotion to service is a natural incubator for innovation and the impetus for constant improvement.”

Listening to guest and employee feedback has resulted in significant changes since Iron Mountain opened in July 2015. Most recently, Iron Mountain Hot Springs expanded its bathhouse to accommodate more visitors; added outdoor cooling-off showers and upgraded to a new water filtration system that ensures guests soak in the purest mineral water with no added chemicals like chlorine.  Also, during the summer months we’ve enhanced the calming ambiance with soothing al-fresco massages and Rhythm on the River, a weekly concert series that features artists playing mellow jazz and soul.

Before being selected the Innovative Wellness Centre of the Year for Colorado winner, Iron Mountain Hot Springs was vetted by a team of hospitality experts. The judging panel for the awards included TV personalities Shane Green (Resort Rescue) and Marianela Pereyra (Resident Beach Expert), Claire Newell (Travel Expert), luxury travel photographer Antonio Cuellar, as well as the in-house team at Luxury Travel Guide.

In addition to the physical property, the judges were also impressed with Iron Mountain Hot Springs’ website, the many positive reviews on TripAdvisor, and our presence on social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube and Instagram.

As a winner, Iron Mountain Hot Springs will be featured in LTG publications and is invited to attend the awards ceremony in London in November which coincides with the World Travel Market trade show.

Having recovered our equilibrium, are we happy, humbled and honored to be the winner the Innovative Wellness Centre award winner for Colorado? Oh yeah!
