Directions to Iron Mountain Hot Springs

Iron Mountain Hot Springs is located in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, in the heart of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Long known as a wellness destination for its therapeutic geothermal waters, Glenwood Springs is a year-round vacation spot for travelers from around the world. Directions:

From Denver or Grand Junction (off of I-70): Take exit 114 from I-70. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto W. 6th Street.  Proceed two miles and turn right on Devereux Road.  Go past the entrance to the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park and over the highway overpass, then make the first right onto Centennial Street.  Follow this road into the Iron Mountain Hot Springs parking lot.

From Aspen, Basalt and Carbondale (South):Take Hwy 82 north to Glenwood Springs. Proceed through town and over the Grand Avenue Bridge. Stay in the right lane and turn right into the roundabout and exit onto 6th Street. Drive for 1/3 mile to Devereux Road. Turn left (south) on Devereux and drive past Glenwood Caverns Tram and make the first right onto Centennial Street.  Follow this road into the Iron Mountain Hot Springs parking lot.

  • Grand Junction: 90 miles (145 km),  1.5-2 hours
  • Aspen: 45 miles (72 km), 30 minutes
  • Vail:  60 miles (97 km), 1 hour

Airports: In addition to Denver International Airport (DIA), the Glenwood Springs area is served by three nearby airports.  Eagle County Regional Airport is 30 miles (48 km) east of town; the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport is 40 miles (64 km) to the south; and the Grand Junction Regional Airport is 90 miles (145 km) to the west.

Trains: Amtrak’s California Zephyr has year-round, daily arrivals in Glenwood Springs from points east and west.

Buses:

The Roaring Fork Transportation Authority  (RFTA) provides service throughout Glenwood Springs for just $1 per day. RFTA also serves destinations throughout the Roaring Fork Valley for varying rates.

The Colorado Department of Transportation’s Bustang is a daily inter-regional bus service from Denver to Glenwood Springs.

Van Services: Servicing Western Slope resort towns, schedule pick-up and drop-off with Epic Mountain Express from DIA to Glenwood Springs.

Taxis: A ride is just a phone call away with Valley Taxi.

Iron Mountain Hot Springs is centrally located in Glenwood Springs. You’re close to trails for hiking and biking, whitewater rafting and kayaking, and mountain-top fun at nearby Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park. Glenwood Springs is also home to specialty stores and retailers, spas and restaurants that run the gamut from a quick bite to eat to award-winning fine dining. You’re also within an hour of seven ski resorts, including Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk, Snowmass, Sunlight Mountain Resort, Vail and Beaver Creek.

Drive from Town

Walk/Bike from town (off of 6th. St.):

      1. On 6th Street, turn left onto pedestrian path and Devereux Rd.
      2. Walk pedestrian path past the entrance of the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park and cross-over Devereux Rd. to other side of road.
      3. Follow the pedestrian path over I-70 overpass
      4. After overpass, pedestrian path turns downhill into Two Rivers Park.
      5. At bottom of the hill turn right on sidewalk, take sidewalk past Strom King Memorial and back up to Devereux Rd.
      6. Cross over from Devereux Rd. onto Centennial St.
      7. Walk past red brick building on your left, to end of Centennial Street (approx. 200 yards) to parking lot and bathhouse. Welcome you’re here!
