Maps of Geothermal & Mineral Pools at Iron Mountain Hot Springs

Map of Geothermal Pools at Iron Mountain Hot Springs

Iron Mountain Hot Springs in Glenwood Springs is on a terraced slope overlooking the Colorado River. We’ve designed the hot springs for your ultimate convenience and enjoyment. Our goal is to help you relax, restore and rejuvenate.

You’ll begin your visit in the bathhouse, where you’ll find modern locker rooms, family changing rooms, a gift shop, and hydration stations. Outside, experience 16 natural geothermal pools, and our mineral family pool along with a Zion Canyon Hot Springs inspired jetted spa. Each pool is unique in size, shape, and temperature. Try them all and find the one that’s right for you. The pools are connected with heated walkways to melt snow and prevent iciness in the winter. Five soaking pools are ADA-compliant and have transfer rails and grab bars that allow a person with upper body strength to leave a mobility device and transfer onto the wall and into the water. We also have 2 chair lifts for those wishing to access more pools. More than 14 different minerals are found in our water analysis. Iron, sulfate, chloride, sodium, and calcium are the five most abundant minerals in the soaking pools. Iron and sulfate are known for their relaxing qualities. Sorry, children younger than five are not allowed in our 16 natural geothermal pools or cold plunge pool,  children 5 to 13 will need parent or guardian supervision.

Small children are welcome in our mineralized family pool, designed to keep the whole clan happy; this is the largest of our pools. A curving, gently sloped ramp into the family pool makes it accessible by water wheelchair and anyone who prefers to avoid stairs. A smaller, elevated inspired jetted spa sits on the edge of the family pool with a perfect soaking temperature of just over 100°F. Parents can enjoy the hotter water while supervising their children below, with the calming sounds of a waterfall in the background as water cascades from the upper to the lower section.
