Progress Continues at Iron Mountain Hot Springs

Progress continues at the Iron Mountain Hot Springs, despite a very rainy May so far. This has not stopped construction! The roof is on the bathhouse, so interior work is speeding right along. The foundation has been poured for the Sopris Café, which will be located just next to the freshwater family pool on the left. We will be offering delicious menu options from wraps, salads, smoothies, and an assortment of beverage options. We are continuing to dig and pour mineral hot springs soaking pools. There will be 16 beautiful mineral pools by the time we open. All the pools will range in temperatures from 98 to 108°F. The soaking pools will be filled with our natural thermal waters that complete a total changeover every two hours. There are more than 14 different minerals found in the analysis of our water. The five most abundant minerals in the soaking pools are iron, sulfate, chloride, sodium and calcium. Iron and sulfate are known for their relaxing qualities.

The Iron Mountain Hot Springs is located along the Colorado River in Glenwood Springs. As progress continues, we look forward to opening summer of 2015. Stay tuned for more updates and the announcement of our grand opening!
